POJI is looking for a calculation engineer to our industry team in Karlstad. As an industrial calculation engineer at POJI you take full ownership of FEM and hand calculations for strength, pressure vessels, lifting tools and other industrial structures across marine, offshore, defence, mining, pulp and paper, and general machinery. Every analysis is set up, run, and reviewed by you, against the applicable standard, with full CE documentation when needed. You work close to the customer, communicate technical scope and results directly, and you are part of the peer review chain that keeps POJI's deliveries traceable. The role suits someone who likes both the deep technical work and the responsibility of owning a delivery from brief to final report.
The Role
Perform stress, fatigue, buckling, and dynamic analyses using ANSYS Mechanical
Set up and run FEM models for components, assemblies, and complete systems
Verify results against applicable standards and present findings in clear calculation reports
Communicate directly with clients on technical scope and results
Support internal development of tools and calculation templates
Contribute to quality reviews of analyses carried out by colleagues
Who We're Looking For
Hands-on experience with ANSYS Mechanical in an industrial or consulting environment
Solid understanding of structural mechanics and failure modes
Familiarity with relevant standards such as Eurocodes, ASME, DNV GL, or equivalent
Ability to work independently and take full ownership from brief to final report
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus
